visa services - CHild Visa

Children reunion is a pathway through which children of an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or eligible New Zealand Citizen sponsor their overseas children migration to Australia. In the 2020-21 fiscal year, the quota for the child reunification category was 3,000. This category is divided into four sub-categories:
CHILD VISA (SUBCLASS 101/802)
Applicable for: This Visa is for children under 25 years of age who are not financially independent to reunite with their parents who is an Australian Permanent Resident or eligible New Zealand Citizen.
  • Biological children under the age of 25 who are not financially independent
  • Children adopted under the age of 18
  • Stepchildren under the age of 18
APPLICATION FEE: FROM AU$2,655
ADOPTION VISA (SUBCLASS 102)
Applicable for: This visa lets children adopted outside Australia live in Australia with their adoptive parent.
  • have been under 18 years of age when the visa decision is made
  • be outside Australia when application is submitted
  • be adopted or in the process of being adopted by their sponsor parent
Application Fee: From AU$2,665
ORPHAN RELATIVE VISA (SUBCLASS 117/837)
Applicable for: This visa lets a child who is single come to Australia to live with a relative if their parents are dead, are unable to care for them or can't be found.
  • be under 18 years of age, single and with no parent to care for them
  • have a relative who is a settled Australian citizen, Eligible New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
  • be outside Australia when the application is made and when we make a decision
Application Fee: From Au$1,630
DEPENDENT CHILD VISA (SUBCLASS 445)
Applicable for: This visa allows a child to stay in Australia temporarily while we process their parent's permanent Partner visa application.
  • be a dependent child of the visa-holding parent
  • be sponsored by the nominator or sponsor of the visa-holding parent
