Dependent Child Visa (Subclass 445)
Dependent Child visa (Subclass 445) is a temporary transition visa designed for parents who has obtained partner temporary resident visa (Subclass309/820) and are waiting for the approval of Australian partner permanent resident visa to sponsor their overseas dependent children under the age of 25.
After 445 visa is approved, they must join their father/mother’s partner permanent resident visa application, and their 445 visa is valid until father/mother’s partner visa application has outcome. While waiting for outcome of visa application, applicant can enroll in Australia Medicare system.
· This type of visa is applicable to:
- The father/mother has obtained an Australian partner temporary residence visa (Subclass 309/820);
- Children under the age of 25 who are not financially independent.
