Orphan Relative Visa (Subclass 117/837)
Orphan Relative Visa (Subclass 117/837) is a one-step immigrant visa category specially established for Australian citizens ,permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to sponsor their oversea relative orphans under the age of 18 without parental care. The sponsor can be the child's (step) siblings, (step) grandparents, (step) uncles/aunts.
· This type of visa is applicable to:
- Children under the age of 25 who are not financially independent;
- Adopted children under the age of 18;
- Stepchildren under the age of 18.
- Submit 837 visa application in Australia (you can wait for visa outcome in Australia by holding a bridging visa, and you can enroll in temporary Medicare system;
- Submit 117 visa application outside Australia (if you want to visit Australia while waiting for outcome, you need to apply for visitor visa and comply with the visa conditions).
