It is mainly set up to allow visa applicant to carry out various short-term activities in Australia, and is only applicable to certain activities, such as performances, research, religious work, etc. The specific categories of the 408 visa are listed below for your reference:

Currently, Australia has closed the border due to COVID-19, and the Temporary Activity Visa is not on the list of allowed entry. Unless there are special reasons for exemption.
