Entrepreneur Stream (Subclass 188E)
This visa is one of the four major Australian business innovation stream 188 series categories. The 188E visa is ideal for entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and being endorsed by a recognised body. It is a 5-year temporary visa and is only available to applicants who have been nominated by an Australian State or Territory.
If you were invited to apply for this visa on or after 1 July 2021, you must be endorsed by your nominating State or Territory government agency to develop your entrepreneurial concepts.
If you were invited to apply for this visa before 1 July 2021, you must have one or more legally enforceable agreements to receive funding for at least AU$200,000.
Once the applicant has spent 3 years in Australia being sponsored by a state or territory government, they will qualify for a permanent residence via the Business Innovation and Investment (Residence) subclass 888E visa.
