The video was played on 8th March 2021, International Women's Day, at the Women's Day breakfast "Georges River · Women in Business", which Mrs Zhu also attended.![]()
- Migration Program Planning Levels as of 2022-23 The government has announced Migration Program Planning Levels for the 2022-23 fiscal year on 1st July 2022. Skilled Stream The Good news is that the government has significantly increased the quota of skilled stream, especially the skilled independent SC189 visa (up 156%), Regional SC489 visa (up 123%), and State/Territory Nominated SC190/SC491 visa (up 78%). Family Stream To reduce the pipeline and processing time for many applications, the government has raised the parent visa quota to 6,000 per year. Meanwhile, the government has lowered the allocation to 40,500 as Partner visa applications have flattened.

- Overseas permanent skilled workers to be the top priority in Immigration revamp The Albanese government announced that Australia will now prioritise processing the almost 60,000 permanent visa applications lodged by skilled overseas workers. Fot the past two years, about 81% of permanent visas were granted to those already in the country, but the government believe the focus must change. Of the current total backlog of 961,016 visa applications across all categories, there are 560,187 lodged by people outside Australia. Of these, 57, 906 are skilled workers seeking permanent visas. These will be the new priority, especially for teachers, health workers and aged care staff. But there still 13,806 offshore visa applicants are seeking temporary visas. Hope the good news can help overseas applicants get visas as soon as possible.
